      Recruitment

      Brief: An adviser firm client had been frustrated with the quality of both CVs and candidates put forward by their existing preferred recruitment firm. They required a solution to save valuable time and improve recruitment outcomes. Solution: AGF introduced two of our recruitment partners and agreed a trial period with the client with the objective of improving their recruitment process and quality of candidates. The trial was successful, agreements were completed, and ultimately the efficiency of the client’s recruitment process and quality of candidates to fit their brief were improved.

      Business efficiency

      Brief: An adviser firm client had struggled with their Admin and Paraplanning processes resulting in workflow issues and restricted capacity to take on new clients. They urgently required improvements to improve efficiency and client service delivery capacity. Solution: Working with AGF’s specialist Paraplanning and Administrative partner, an in-depth understanding of the client’s needs was agreed. “In-sourced” expertise and new automated systems were deployed to enhance and complement the existing team. This met the client’s priority needs of improving the efficiency of client reporting and capacity to take on more clients.

      Acquistions

      Brief: A long-standing client of AGF required a regular flow of potential selling adviser firms to meet their acquisition ambitions. The quality, scale and cultural alignment of firms put forward for consideration must meet agreed metrics. Solution: Through AGF’s own network of adviser contacts built up over 30 years and working with a partner firm who specialises in acquisition matching, we sourced only suitable selling adviser firms that match the exact brief set by the client. This has resulted in a number of successful acquisitions being completed over the last 8 years and an ongoing agreement built on a high level of trust on our ability to deliver for the client.

      Acquisition finance and refinancing

      Brief: An adviser firm with a rolling debt facility sought more attractive terms than those offered by their existing lender or visible through their own research. Solution: Working closely with the client and AGF’s debt funding partners located in the City of London, a highly attractive re-financing packaged was achieved both in terms of rates and fees.

      Independent third party (vendors)

      Brief: Many adviser firms are potentially vulnerable to risks associated with third parties they may work with. One of AGFs clients who possess robust in-house risk and compliance functions wished to ensure they were better protected with an added layer of independent due diligence on all the third-party firms they engage with. Solution: AGF engaged one of our due diligence partners, introduced them to the client with a resulting due diligence exercise completed with risk reports to satisfy both internal needs (Board) and regulatory requirements.

      Investment committee support

      Brief: A wealth management client required an external investment specialist to bolster their in-house Investment Committee expertise and research capability. Solution: AGF supplied an external Investment Analyst and Fund Manager using highly experienced partners to support the client as required across their Investment functions this has been a three-year tenure which is still ongoing for both parties
